Launch will be on 10 July as soon after 7:30AM as the equipment setup allows. We will be flying until 4PM.
As the AMA will not schedule any events on any sites during the week of 5-11 July, there is a chance that we may not be able to fly if an RC airplane group establishes ops on the field first.

So, what were the results of the Zoom Meeting? Are you going ahead with the Saturday launch plans? I'd hate to drive 3 hrs down there and find no launch!

Chance of rain is currently 50-60% all day with surface winds from the southeast at 5-10 miles per hour. I will post status of the launch by 7PM tonight. Winds from the southeast or east are good for staying out of the corn and beans, but not so good if you are concerned with drifting over near the high tension wires.

Thanks for the reply.  The one I saw said 10-15 mph from the SE.  Probably okay fro mid-power, but not high power.

With that rain forecast, I'm thinking I might just skip the long drive from Goshen, & try next launch.  I've got 1 large model, 7 mid-power (PSII kit-bashes) and one small high power rocket that will hopefully be done by then!  (Lots of painting to do & decals to make! Whew!)

Thanx.

Paint is up to the flyer. We get a lot of road rash from the tar we fly off of. Next launch is in September, a two day launch

Launch is on for tomorrow. Set up starts at 7am and launch starts at 8am. Wind is about 7mph from the SE.  Launch rods will be angled to prevent overflight of the spectator area in the event of failure of chute deployment. Winds above approximately  4000ft shift to from the west. Greatest chance of rain is in the afternoon, so we may cut the launch short, especially in the event of lightning. All rockets will be presented to RSO prior to launch for inspection.
