Welcome to IndyRockets

This site was created as a resource for anyone interested in hobby rocketry in central Indiana.

This is also the source for information on the Rocketeers Of Central Indiana (ROCI), Section #625 of The National Association of Rocketry (NAR). Feel free to check here for information about ROCIs launch events. The launch events are conducted throughout the warmer months at the Academy of Model Aeronautics' Headquarters and Aeromodeling Center in Muncie, Indiana. This facility is the finest flying field in the state and ROCI is proud to be the exclusive host of the rocketry events held there. ROCI is not currently conducting meetings as we have lost our meeting place.

I think this is my year to finally try Level 1 too Steve. I've been threatening for the last 2 or 3 years, but never seem to find the time. I now have the kit, and have actaully started building it.

A 38mm 3" BSD Thor. I should be able to use it for both Level 1 and Level 2 Certs.

That should do the trick. The Thor is a nice design.

I agree, but I've already found a couple of issues with the design and the assembly instructions. Glad I noticed them before I put epoxy to it. :side:

I have almost all the Aerotech cases in the 29mm, 38mm and a few of the 54mm as well as the complete SkyRipper hybrid cases (29mm, 38mm, 54mm) that I'd be willing to let people borrow for certification attempts. Only caveat is that if you lose it, you replace it. The AMW 75mm case I have could be used for a level 2 attempt, but not too many people go for their level 2 with a full K or small L motor. I even have HPR reloads for several of the cases that I can let people use and then replace.

Build a rocket and I'm sure we can come up with ways to get it up in the sky.
